Help? Cold Sore, eczema, psoriasis?

Hey guys, 

So I get this strange flaky spot on the same corner of my mouth once every month or so and I'm wondering if it's a cold sore. The image is super sharp for you to see. There are never blisters, just an annoying flaky spot. I'm going to ask my doc, but I was wondering if anyone else got these? I was thinking it was eczema or psoriasis, but I'm worried it's a cold sore. It doesn't hurt either.  

The pic below is how it looked before the thicker skin patch grew.
