Have anyone heard of Polyps?

When I went to the doc I was 6 weeks and having spotting. Everything looked good. I go back for my offical checkup in about a week. I will be 8 weeks. The doc said I had a Polyps but just kinda casually said it. He said that's why I was spotting and that they usually go away on its own. I was just putting out there because I haven't seen anyone say anything about having them. It took me forever to finally find something online about them because I didnt have the correct spelling.
