Placenta heard-good sign?

I'm only 8+3, just used my doppler and i believe i heard the placenta. I heard my heartbeat and this seemed to be the same rate but a lot more wooshy sounding rather than just thumping.

Is hearing the placenta working a sign that the baby is still alive?

It could have been your actual heart rate, the placenta is still pretty small as well at this point. How fast was it?

Ive seen YouTube videos and a lot of comments on here of people saying they found the hb early in week 8 with the same doppler (sonoline b 3mhz). I know it can take much longer to find the hb but i don't think its that unlikely that ive found the placenta

8 weeks may be too soon. I found mine with a Doppler at 10 weeks.

You probably didn't hear the heartbeat or the placenta. At 10 weeks they couldn't even find mine with a doppler, but at around 12 can find it.
