WHAT IS BV?

I have BV. I am taking medicine for it and I'm not really sure what it is. I was having sex with my boyfriend before I was diagnosed. He can't get it, right? Once we start having sex once this all goes away, is it safe for me to have sex with him again or do you think that he will give it back to me?

Bacterial Vaginosis only affects women; however, women get it through unprotected sex. Sometimes women who have never even had sex get it though. It's not a sexually transmitted disease. You can't pass the infection to your SO.

Also spreads through sexual contact. Unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex. 
So yes, you could definitely give it to your boyfriend.
