I am 36 weeks due 8/3 but, the baby is already near 7lbs. Anyone thinking this big boy will be born earlier?

He could very well be 5lbs or even littler. The weight doesn't predict anything.

Ultrasounds can be off a bit in weight and weeks into the pregnancy, they are nothing more than an estimate. However, baby usually gains 1/2 lb a week, so you could just be looking at a 9lb baby at 40 weeks. My son was 41.5 weeks at birth and 9lbs 6oz., it happens.

My first two boys were estimated to weigh 7 lbs 10 oz at 36 wks. My first came 4 days early weighing 8lbs 13 oz and my second came on his due date and weighed 8lbs 9 oz.
