Big baby?!

At 29 weeks 4 days I went to a 4d scan. Baby was measuring two and a half weeks ahead and around 4 and a half pounds. Anyone else have a baby measuring large? Most of my children have been in the 8-9lbs range but never do big so soon. Makes me nervous.

I am now 28 weeks along, but at my 25 week ultrasound, I found out my baby is in the 84th percentile and is measuring 1.5 weeks ahead. I also just found out I have GD, but I haven't gained much weight (6 lbs total so far) and I go to see an educator and dr tomorrow to figure out what steps I must take next. Keep in mind, ultrasounds aren't always accurate as far as measurements go. When I was pregnant with my daughter (2nd born), my dr told me she was going to be HUGE. She induced me a week before my due date and my daughter was 8lbs 4oz at birth. She apparently thought that was a ginormous baby, but in my family, 8-9lb babies are the norm. It's all about perspective too. Try not to worry, I'm sure your dr will induce you or have a different plan in mind if they think your baby is getting too big.😊

28 wks 3 days. Measuring 32 weeks and baby weighs 3 lbs 7 oz. I am a type 1 diabetic tho.

I'm actually being sent for a growth scan as I'm 28 weeks but bump is measuring 31 weeks so I feel your pain!

These weight guesses are only estimates. They can be spot on or way off. I wouldn't sweat it but I would try to not gain anymore weight since that can contribute to baby too. Are telling you you'll need to have a c-section?

The weight can be off by 2lbs either way so she could be just 2lbs. My daughter was measuring 4 weeks ahead and was only 5lbs 12oz at birth. It's normal to measure 2 weeks ahead.
