Birth control advice?

So I lost my virginity a few months ago to my boyfriend, I'm 19. And ever since then I've been super hormonal on certain days. I'm not on birth control because I'm afraid it will mess up my regular cycle, eventually make me infertile, and make me more hormonal. I'm not good at taking pills and I know there's other alternatives to bc but I don't wanna tell my mom about possibly taking it. I just need some help & advice.
