Birth story
Monday, June 27th I woke up at 6:40am to text my mom. I had zero cramping, nothing, felt like a normal day. I went back to sleep
At 7:30am I started my morning as usual, nursed my two year old, went pee. When I got back to bed I started having some cramping, out of nowhere. It was pretty painful, I was getting on my hands and knees to help ease the pain.
At 8am my husband, Josh, woke up to get ready for an interview.
By 8 I had had about 4 bad cramps, and I had three more while we sat on the bed.
He went to go take a shower and I went to the living room to lean over my birth ball.
One of my friends told me to time the cramps since I wasn't sure what they were, as I couldn't feel my stomach tightening.
I timed a few, texted my doula, who told me to tell my Midwife.
At 8:20am I told my midwife, and at 8:52am I sent her a log with my contractions that were 2/3 minutes apart.
At 8:57am I told her I had bloody mucus so I knew it was baby time.
I was in the bathroom now because I noticed the blood while I was on the toilet.
Now I was on the floor on my side between contractions and hands and knees during.
At 9am Josh left for an interview, I told him to hurry while I was on my hands and knees because she was coming today.
At 9:07am my midwife started leaving her house and things were getting really intense for me.
Sometime within the next couple contractions I couldn't get up on my hands and knees anymore, I was so tired and in so much pain, my body was also pushing with every contraction.
At 9:34am my midwife said she was almost there because I texted her asking her to hurry.
My midwife got there and about three contractions later my water broke while I laid on a rug infront of the tub at 9:44am.
Soon after that I ended up back on my hands and knees, I told Josh's sister to start recording, and the midwife listened for baby, 120bpm.
Then I started pushing, on my own, on my hands and knees, Josh walked in the door from his interview and the midwife yelled that the baby is coming NOW. As she said that out popped the head. I waited a second for the pressure of the shoulders and pushed again, out came my baby.
My midwife caught her at 9:51am, placed her on the floor on a pad and slid her up to me.
I delivered my little girl while my husband, MIL, and two year old stood in the doorway, my 10 year old SIL stood behind me recording, and my midwife sat on the floor next to me.
A few minutes after my other midwife showed up.
My placenta was delivered after about 7 minutes, I just got up on my knees and it fell right out.
