When is too soon to say "I love you"?

I've been seeing this guy for almost a year, and I'm not sure how to tell him I love him. I dont want him to feel obliged to say it back if he doesnt mean it, but I really do feel this way and want him to know. I would appreciate any advice!

love doesn't have a timeline, if you feel like you love him, tell him! chances are he feels the same way, and if he doesn't say it back, maybe he's just not ready.

You can ease into it, I did. Things like "I really like you" or "I appreciate you" the kind of things that suggest and nudge over to an "I love you" so if it slips naturally, it'll be expected.
