Period advice please

Hi girls I don't really post very much but I'm wondering if I can have a wee bit advice please? So my period is late by a good few days almost 7 days and I haven't had sex in 2 weeks my boyfriend doesn't like using condoms and said he doesn't have to bother with them cause I'm not bothered about the pill, I've heard a few scary stories about problems the pill has anyway I went and got it to make him happy and stop moaning and now my period is late, I took a test thismorning and it came back negative, should I take another test next week? Or does anyone know why my period is being late and giving me a scare 😂
