Experienced moms: Which came first for you?

Just curious as to how labor actually started for the moms that have already delivered. Feel free to share stories or leave advice for this FTM! 😀

I had a very textbook first labour and I'm hoping my second goes just a smoothly. I began contracting at 2am, stayed at home until about 8ish then went to the hospital to get checked. I was about 2cm at that check so I went home. The contractions ramped up after the internal, which they often do as your cervix has been touched, i laboured at home with contractions every 5 mins or so till about 4pm and then went back to get assessed. I was 4cm. Not going to lie I did feel a little deflated and exhausted. I had pethidine and gas and then 4 hours later I was holding my beautiful baby girl. I had my water broken when I was fully dilated. I'm glad it was left intact until the end. It's helps babe get in a better position ect.

I had back labor at 9 pm went to bed then started having contractions in my abdomen around 2 am they were about 5 minutes apart and hurt more so I went to the hospital. My water broke when they checked me and I had my son shortly after. I was only in real labor for 6 hours before my son was born. Was not able to get the epidural due to lack of staff that evening. It ended up being very quick with only 3 pushes. Want to try and get the epidural this time but not sure I will have the time. Good luck 😀

I had contractions for 18 hours, went to the hospital when I realized they were contractions. Stayed for 2 hours and left because I was hungry and only 3cm so I didn't need to stay. 5 hours later the contractions picked up and as I was walking down the stairs to the bathroom my water partially broke. I got a shower and then laid in bed for another hour before going in again. After a few hours of contractions they broke my water the rest of the way.

My water broke but labor never started so I had to be induced.

Non painful contractions at 17 weeks. Water leaked at 19 weeks contractions stopped and my water broke at 31 weeks with a lot of blood and no contractions

Neither 😊😉 I was induced at 41 weeks. But I guess they broke my water and then i got contractions

I never had contractions with my first baby. My plug came out then a few hours later my water broke. I had to have a csection because I wouldn't progress past 5cm.
