Pineapple to induce?

Anyone tried it? I had some about an hour ago. Let's see if it works! 38w4d.

You have to eat a shit ton for it to help (providing your baby is ready) including the core. That's why I blend mine into smoothies, along with Medijool dates. Somewhere I read said the equivalent of getting it to work is to eat 6 full pineapples so good luck. I'm just eating mine to hopefully make labor a little easier.

This did not work for me. I'm still pregnant. I guess you're supposed to eat the core of the pineapple too.

I eat three huge cans of pineapple every single day along with a fresh cut as its something I MUST HAVE. (ADDICTED) and I am 4 cm dilated and 90% effaced.  It helps thin ripen out the cervix so that you can dilate. It worked with my first pregnancy and I believe it has helped with this one as well. Everyone's body is different, but it wouldn't hurt to try:) good luck.

I had like two whole pineapples and nothing happened. I tried everything to induce actually with no results. Came right on his due date.
