Schedule c section due to size.

Am I the only one who had to schedule a c section due to the size of the baby? This is my first pregnancy and my original plan was natural vaginal birth. I went in at 35.5 weeks and baby weighed 7.9 lbs which is in the 97th %. I was a big baby at 9.7 & my fiancé was 10.5 lbs when he was born. Both of our mothers birthed natural and with big babies.... My doctor said to be careful we should schedule a c section a week earlier then due date. She thinks if baby goes to 40w she will be 11 lbs. She (DR) also doesn't want the babies shoulders to get stuck during vaginally delivery so she is playing it safe so I don't have to have an emergency c section.  I'm nervous ... And it's not my plan! Is anyone else going through this?
