Getting impatient!

I am 38 weeks today and as far as I know I am not dilated. My doctor said the outer part of my cervix is fully open but the inner part is still closed. (Never knew there were two parts). I am due on the 25th but I'm hoping to be induced on the 19th since I have family coming down on the 24th. They are only staying for a week and are the only family members who can come see our son for a while. I want them to have as much time with him as possible. The only problem, I have to be dilating in order to be induced early. I have one appointment before my possible induction date and I'm hoping to be dilated to at least a 1. I have been walking as much as I can and trying my best to stay crazy active at home. I only have two more days of work and then I'm on maternity leave. I walk the most at work and I'm on my feet the whole time. It's too hot out to walk outside (108 average). I feel like my son is down where he's supposed to be to help me dilate but I'm scared that there won't be any progress. I really want to be induced so my family can spend their whole time down here with him.
