Second period in one week

So I started the pill about 3-4 months ago, and this is the first time I've gotten my period twice within a week or so...it ended on the 4th of July and I started spotting last night and woke up this morning with cramps and a heavier flow, and it keeps getting heavier throughout the day...I figured it was just some spotting because Thursday and Friday I took the pill about an hour later than usual, but now since it's getting to be a heavier flow it's kind of freaking me out....(I'm also a hypochondriac of sorts haha) any other ladies that have experienced this or may know what's going on? Any thoughts would help before I reach out to my doctor! Thanks!!
