Pill making periods shorter?

Question

So i just started the pill last month, all was good then i got my withdrawal period like i was meant to but it only lasted 2 days? Usually my period is 5 or 6 days and this time the amount of blood was barely anything i couldve easy gotten away with wearing 1 liner the whole day
Is this normal? I had really bad cramping compared to usual aswell.

Most birth control pills make your period lighter and shorter. That's what I was told when I started my pills.

I've been on the pill for two months now and I used to have regular periods lasting 5/6 days but mine have now started a lot later than when I wasn't on the pill and lasting only a few days too. This doesn't seem to be a problem though when I asked about it, but idk how it will affect my period once I come off the pill. So dw, your not alone with this one ☺️

My periods were always a lot lighter and shorter on the pill. Most of the time it wasn't even barely a period, just discolored discharge pretty much
