Is she too old for a stroller?

I'm taking my little sister to Disney world. She is 7 and turning 8 in a month. She's 50 lbs. we will be walking a ton in the parks and in a lot of heat. I bought a stroller for her that goes up to 50 lbs and fits her. Is she too old for it? Should I make her walk? We should be walking at least 5 miles in 90 degree weather

Cast member here. She's way to old. You're going to get grumpy looks from other guests and cast members who work the rides. If she gets tired go find a place to rest for a bit and get a glass of water. A cup of water is free at any kiosks or quick service places. You also have to accept the fact that you won't see everything. Don't make your family try and do the park in one day. Everyone will be miserable

I hate when parents are pushing empty stollers all the time because their child wants to walk in the park. If you don't need it, don't bring it. It just gets in everyone's way. Also, you have to deal with it then and it makes it complicated. Carry a backpack with everything you guys need and don't go running through the park. Take your time walking and sit and rest when you need it.

Wouldnt buy one just for the trip, when she's that old. You could try make her walk, but if it gets too exhausting, you could always rent one there!

Seriously?? That's way too old. I took a 4 year old to Disney, and he laughed when I pulled out his stroller..."Auntie, I have legs! I'm not a baby." He rocked it out and let me know if he needed a break.

I voted no, BC I can understand a child not wanting to walk that much in the heat. But in reality she's a little big for a stroller and you probably wasted money on the stroller BC she won't fit in it long.

I honestly HATE strollers! It makes it so difficult trying to get around people. People stand in the way plus if its packed you barely get through. I have a 7 year old son and he's 50 pounds as well. I hold his hand. I have a 4 year old too and I hold his hand. My 5 month old rides in a annoying stroller lol I've wanted to run people over cause they get in the way hahaha

Yes shes to old! But if youve been to disney before for the people who said no!! The walking is nuts put her in a stroller!! Everyone there has like there 12 year old kids in one! They kept running people over!

She's gunna get hot and tired quick. I see no problem in using a stroller if she wants to use it.

If she fits and wants it then go for it!! If anything, you'll have a place to carry all of your stuff. It's the middle of July, it's hot and that park is going to be crowded.. There may not be a place to sit besides the floor. It'll give her a place to sit and rest even if she doesn't get pushed around in it. There's no down side to having it if you don't mind parking it and pushing it around. A happy child is better than a hot and tired child from walking!!
