Toddler help
Our 1.5 year old has started acting out recently. She's slapping us in the face, throwing things, pulling my hair, throwing toys at the dog really hard, flinging her plate off the table, pouring out every liquid she can get her hands on, cries if I don't give her what she wants, and the list goes on. It's really frustrating and I know it's part of the terrible twos/toddlerhood but what can I do to make her understand this behavior isn't acceptable? Especially the violence. We tell her no, try time outs (which doesn't work because the only time out area we have is her room where all her toys are) and I've tried just ignoring her bad behavior but I can't ignore it when it's violence against us or the dog especially for safety reasons.
We won't spank her in case anyone makes that suggestion.
TLDR Toddler acting out, I know it's normal but what can we do to teach her to behave better and not act violently?
