Sign of labor?

Question

May be TMI- did anyone have diarrhea and nausea before going into labor? I'll be 38 wks tomorrow and have had this going on and off the past two days along with menstrual like cramps...just wondering if this could be a sign of labor ?

It could be an early sign of labor but unfortunately it can continue for weeks before you go into actual labor. The exact thing has been happening to me since 37 weeks and I'm 39 weeks now.

It can be a sign of early labor. The body will try to clean itself out. But early labor can start and stop, so it doesn't mean that active labor is necessarily going to immediately follow. I'd say it's definitely evidence of your body getting ready. But there's no way to know if it'll keep on or if this is all for now.

My wife has felt all that with contractions for 2 weeks now. She's 40 weeks.

I was thinking the same! Had membrane sweep Monday and lost mucus plug Tuesday with diarrhea for two days. But today things are normal again. 😔 I do feel like my belly has dropped a bit though .

That would be awesome because I'm nauseous and have those bathroom problems as well 😕 I'm being induced Tuesday but I'd much rather him come before then!

Currently 40+1 and the exact thing happened to me at 38 weeks. Woke up one night started puking and diarrhea! Took my temp was only 97.1 (normal for me) and felt xompletelt fine the next morning. I thought labor was near for me too! I'm still sitting here pregnant lol it could be a sign though!

Only happened at 38 weeks and that was it I think our stomach just smushed so much and then once the baby dropps it'll be normal again
