Newborn Gaging??!!

Question

My daughter is almost two days old and randomly she will gag or hack something up then swallow it. Is this normal? Just mucus that she's getting our of her lungs? Acid reflux? Also can someone explain cluster feeding? Ah! I've only been a mom for a day and a half and I'm losing it!

She probably just has leftover fluids/mucus in her lungs. My son was not via csection and he was gagging up leftover amniotic fluid for a couple days (baby's born csection don't get that stuff squeezed out in the birth canal). As for cluster feeding.. Haha it too shall pass. Baby may eat for an hour every hour or very often. It slows down after a bit.

The first couple weeks are the hardest. And she's learning how to use her body. I don't know about the gagging. I would actually talk to her pediatrician about it. As it could be a bunch of things. Cluster feeding is when they just want to be attached to your boob non stop. Don't stress you're doing wonderfully. And look how beautiful she is!
