Anyone else anemic?

I'm 28w&5days along and I found out I'm anemia anemic who else is going threw this?  This explains my shortness of breath and feeling unenergized. It sucks.

Be careful with prescription iron supliments - they also make you constipated! In the uk (so I'm sure you get them or something similar in the US!) they sell A 100% natural iron supliment liquid called spatone with apple juice that doesn't taste like metal and is gentle on you're stomach. I swear by it as I just hated the iron my doctor prescribed. Good luck and make sure you take it, you'll feel so much better.

Huh I wonder why none of our Dr's actually check a blood sample for iron? When I was on WIC 7 years ago they requested it at one of my appointments to have the Dr check.

I just found out that I'm anemic. I went in for my glucose test and left with anemia! My doctor told me to eat a lot of iron-rich foods and take iron pills 3x a day and colace because it really constipates you! I've been practically falling asleep at my desk lately and short of breath a lot so it makes sense!

I just found out that I am also. Dr put me on prescription iron pills this week.

Me!! It sucks big time. But yes it does explain a lot.  Hopefully u r doc put u on iron pills.
