So one of my best friends just let me know she's almost 12 weeks pregnant. I avoided her daughter's first birthday as I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it.  There would have been 3 babies there and I couldn't have coped with the harmless questions about when we were having kids from others. I was very honest and told her why I didn't want to come. I didn't need to make an excuse as I had my laparoscopy and hysteroscopy three days before so wouldn't have been up to going.
