I would never joke about something like that bc there are alot of ppl that have trouble concieveing or have had miscariages and dont talk about it (i had a mc that i didnt tell anyone about) you never know what ppl are hiding.

For the ones who said "yes" why do you do that? They're just your friend, it's not like you get anything out of it like you might with your partner although that's wrong too. One of my close friends was always lying about it. Our Jr. Year in High school she always lied about being pregnant. Every like 2 months she would lie and a week or so later she would be like "I miscarried" it's honestly hard for me to ever believe anything that ever comes out of her regarding pregnancy even now and we're 26 now. I love her and she's married but when she really did get pregnant a few years ago I didn't believe her even though she had a sonogram that had her name on it. Unfortunately she did lose the baby about 6-8 weeks in and I felt bad for her, but why would someone lie so much about this? Is it the attention? Is it because they desperately want to be pregnant? I just don't understand why you would lie to friends about it
