Question need help

Me and my bf of almost 2 yrs want to try to have a baby but I don't See it ever happening because I don't get my period unless I'm on bc when I went to my new gyn make in April I asked her if there was a way I could get pregnant without having my period and she didn't wanna hear me out but throw me back on the pill. Does anyone know how I can get pregnant but still get my period without being on the pill?
