Who pays on the first date?

Personally, I think the man should pay on the first date because that's just what I expect out of a gentleman on the first date.

My boyfriend and I have a set up where we take turns oaying for dates. He pays for a date, I'll pay for a date, and then it goes back to him. I find this works great for us.

Of course, not every man is like my boyfriend. I've gone on first dates where he paid for his stuff and I had to pay for mine. I've gone on first dates where he pays because that's just what he believes a man should do.

On a first date I think a girl should offer to pay for her share if the guy says he'll pay for all of it, out of politeness and courtesy and then see what he says, I think it's unreasonable just to assume that he'll pay for it all because 'he's the man' he could be not very well off so having that extra £20/30 for that month could mean a great deal to him ✌🏿️

For me, it depends how it goes.. If I go on the date and see him as only a friend or I'm not too interested, I will offer to pay. I'll also pay if it seems he doesn't want to afford it.. Like if he's picky about the prices of everything, etc. But 9/10 times I'll just let them pay if they offer to pay.

Lol I'm just joking. I pay for everything when I go on a date with someone I actually like. I think a dude paid once for me a looooooong time ago when I was somewhat girlie.
