Is anyone else hoping for a small baby?

Idk, I've always had this image of having a tiny little baby to come to a realization that it's not always that way. How big was your baby?

In my experience from my first pregnancy, I was induced at 36 weeks due to low amniotic fluid and my baby had stopped growing. So when my daughter was born she was only 4lbs 14oz And I have to say I was depressed. I felt the first few months were going by so slow. All she did was eat and sleep. She was just so small & defenseless. I would cry because she would choke easily on the breast milk because her mouth was so tiny and well my breasts were so big. And because she didn't empty my breast milk I had a painful infection in the breast tissue called Mastitis 3 times which came with high fevers. Boy, I suffered. So the answer to your question is NOPE I wouldn't want a small baby. But I don't want a big baby either. I'm tiny lady anyway just hope my baby is a healthy baby and weighs just about right.

I had a full term, tiny baby a week ago. She was 5lb 7oz and while she's so cute, little, light, and precious - she's on a more rigorous feeding schedule - which means mommy can't wait until the baby lets me know she's hungry, which is not always fun (especially not at 3am). Hope for a healthy size & birth weight. Not only is it good for the baby, but it'll make the beginning of motherhood a little more tolerable & with much more sleep.

My son was 6 pounds and 14 oz. Me and his dad are both small people. I'm 5'2 and he is 5'5. I think my son was the perfect size for us,and was completely healthy. He still measures in like the 35th percentile. He is just gonna be little like his parents. I'm pregnant with baby boy #2 and hoping he is about the same size 😊 but mostly because he is posterior, so being smaller will mean it would be easier for him to flip when labor starts,or for me to try and deliver him sunny side up.

I honestly am... Not preemie small just small... My other 2 (full term) babies are almost 9 pounds and grew rapidly!

Never Doubt the baby have faith in God what ever comes out your mouth will happen just be blessed and pray that the baby comes out healthy and strong

My son was 7.7. He was a great size. I was 9.5 and my husband was 10.6 so parent size does not always have a say In it.

My daughter was born at 39w1d weighing 5.14 and 18 1/2 inches. She's now 5 weeks and weighs 8.4 and 20.7 inches. Still considered small for her age but super healthy!

What do you mean by small?
Big babies run in my family, I was nearly 10 pounds and one of my brothers was over 10 pounds.
My husband and his brother were 7 pounders. I'm hoping for a baby under 8.5. I think that's small. I wouldn't want my baby super tiny

A friend of mine just had an almost 10lb baby. I'm a small girl, so that would be horrifying for me.
