Nicholas's law... Wtf.
This is a new law in Georgia that is going hand in hand with grandparents rights... Basically it is giving aunt's and uncles and other non-custodial relatives the right to take custodial parents to court and fight for visitation rights to the niece/nephew...
What the actual fuck.... I've cut numerous people family and not family out our lives sometimes for her best interest and sometimes for my best interest... Either way she is my child and I decided who is welcomed into our lives... Why in the hell do they think this is okay?? I cut my sister out of our lives recently because she does nothing but cause me stress and anxiety and I couldn't take it anymore... She never did wrong by my children (well she did invite my ex husband over while my daughter was there after I asked her not to but that's another story) but I already struggle with depression and anxiety and she was nothing but a burden on my mental health... Will a court see it from my point of view? Probably not because they haven't lived with her constant insults and degradation... This law is crap and will end up causing more problems than solutions.
