Late period

So I'm a couple days late on my period and me and my Boyfriend had sex the day I was supposed to start I'm on the pill and he didn't cum inside me, but the next day I was spotting but then stopped I have had mild cramps but other then that nothing I have also had A LOT OF STRESS like more then anyone should so idk of its just the stress that's making it messed up or what?!
