How should I tell my dad I'm pregnant?

I'm 19 and in a happy home however I think my dad will be upset to find out I'm pregnant I'm not sure how to approach it

My personal opinion would be to wait as long as you can, at least till week 12 or 13, you've given yourself time to absorb the news and get excited, then buy him some kind of gift (a onesie with "I love my grandpa" or something) and present it to him with excitement. If you go into this apprehensive, he will likely be as well. May even be fun to wait till you know the gender so you can say grand daughter or son, makes it even more real and personal. Good luck!!

Tell him he's going to be a grandfather lol. I'm 19 and actually went to the hospital for vomitting and my father took me so that's how I found out . But once I got home & my mom ask me what happened I said " your gonna be a grandma" and walked away. Don't over think it my dad was mad at first but had no choice but to get over it

I had to tell my dad I was pregnant and I was scared to death. I thought he'd be so mad at me and basically disown me. I really did. When I told him he hugged me and told me he loves me just the same, that he loves my baby, and he was there for me for whatever I needed. He even cried. You'll be surprised at the soft side that can bring out in a father. There's no easy way to bring it up. I pretty much just said "I'm pregnant" and showed him the ultrasound picture.  Even if your dad doesn't give you the best reaction right away, he will corn around. Best of luck and congratulations!

Do it in a public place. When I told my dad he was in a wheelchair due to a motor cycle accident so I had to tell him at his home. The first thing he said "I bet it's not to late to take plan b" "you need to get an abortion". I said "it's to late to take the pill and I'll never have an abortion so to bad". I'm 39 weeks now and he's more than happy to have another grandson. It's gets better with time. I'm 18 btw

I've been here. I was 18. There isn't any easy way to go about it. I made sure it was just my dad and I and I let him know I knew all my options and what I had decided to do and I just needed his support more than anything.
