Sex to induce labor

Anyone else's SO not on board for having sex to induce labor? I'm 38w2d and lost my mucus plug in Friday. My doctor told me to go walking which I've been doing a lot of and to have sex. My husband and I have had sex once since it fell out. I wanted to have sex last night and he wasn't for it and his response was that our daughter will come when she is ready. Kind of made me feel like he doesn't want to have sex with me :/ anyone have any suggestions or has anyone delt with something similar?
