Losing Virginity and pain

Hey girls, so I'm 16 years old and recently just lost my virginity about 4 days ago, but we didn't finish it , it hurt way too much and I was wondering if anyone had any ways of reducing pain during intercourse ? Yes we were safe , and yes I was comfortable and ready , but it still managed to hurt me , any suggestions ?
