Advice on fetal echo
Long story short. We lost our last pregnancy due to hydrops and a cystic hygroma that caused a heart defect. Just went to get anatomy scan today and everything looked fine. We have to go back in two weeks because they couldn't get all the pictures of the heart they needed but the doctor said everything they could see looked good. She then brings up scheduling a fetal echocardiogram to look at the heart. And she acted like we should have known we were having this done. If insurance doesn't cover this test it could cost us over $3000 out of pocket. If everything looks fine at my next ultrasound in 2 weeks I'm going to cancel the fetal echo. Do you lovely ladies think this is the wrong decision? I honestly feel like they are just trying to get more and more money out of us.
