My baby was born July 13.

Avarie was born July 13 ...I had planned to cloth diaper her when we got home but due to her umbilical stump and her being so little even my new born covers rubbed or even covered it. So I went back to disposables she lost her stump a few days ago and I've been doing cloth I have to say I love it! For anyone who needs to save a little and can afford to put a large sum into buying cloth it's well worth it. I think I spent about 200 no more then 300. I went with covers and prefolds best economical way to cloth. I skipped newborn prefolds and bought 24 infant and 24 toddler prefolds...I went on ebay and scored some great covers and my boyfriend found a local lady who sells cloth and she gave us great deals and even offered come help if I ran into any problems but I havnt! I got two wet bags on ebay really cheap and snappys and 5 pocket diapers to try. I havnt tried my pocket diapers (toobig)and I plan to invest in bamboo inserts for night time but for now we have everything we need and I feel good putting cloth instead of chemicals found in disposables on my babies bum. She also seems happy with her cloth more then the disposables. I feel good about my decision to cloth diaper I just wish I had done it with my first two girls. Look into it I wasn't disappointed and I have all the diapers I need till potty training.
