Does your dog act differently when on your period?

My dog always licks my thighs as I'm laying down repeatedly when I'm about to start my period!! He also gets really clingy and just wants to be next to me all the time. Do your dog(s) act different when your hormones change?

My girls (2 dogs, both girls lol) get lazy and grouchy when I'm on mine. Especially my oldest one, she's a super bitch when I'm on mine, it's like she can sense it. Lol. My youngest usually acts like a big baby.. But that's all the time lol

Animals can sense hormonal changes. Just like when they go into heat they can smell it. If you look it up it's also why male animals prefer female humans and female animals prefer male animals. We smell different because of the hormones or pheromones our bodies give off. 
It's also how they can smell cancer cells or sense a stroke before it happens.

My cat acts differently, not my dog. My dog is a seeing eye dog, so he should have some kind of superpower sensory capability or whatever, right? Nope. My cat, however, is like connected to me. When I'm sad, he won't leave my side, even to eat. When I'm mad, he'll curl up in my lap until I calm down. When I'm menstruating, he actually keeps me out of the kitchen for some reason. Like, he'll push my legs and pull my pants with his teeth if I try to go into the kitchen to eat. It's super weird.
