Cramps? Contractions?

I'm 37 weeks exactly with twins. For the past hour I've been getting period like cramps in my lower stomach. I've drank water and laid on my left side nothing seems to help. I've gotten these before and went to l&d and they said I was getting contractions. Could this be the same thing? I'm a FTM and a lot of people I know tell me I'll know when I'm getting contractions but this pain is constant. Just doesn't go away or fade away.

I was just release from the hospital yesterday due to the same feelings you're having. I've been tracking my contractions and it's 5-8 mins apart and the contractions and cramps are so painful. I was told the same, that I'll know when the real contractions hit but it was all from singleton pregnancy moms. So I'm not sure if it'll still be the same feeling. The doctor I saw there told me I didn't look uncomfortable so I was okay to go home. If only he knew how I really felt but if the doctor say so lol. I've been leaking too but the doctor said my water didn't break yet. But I'm still feeling the contractions and cramps and haven't really gotten a clear answer of what needs to be done. I hope you're feeling better.

This was 5 hours ago, did you go to the doctor? Or did it eventually stop. I knew I was having contractions when the pain was radiating through my thighs and made it hard to stand

I would suggest calling nurse line or doctor if you haven't already. I was having the same thing happen but after trying the child water and laying on one side things subsided. I'm only 33 weeks though.

Don't worry keep doing d warm bath, lay on ur left n drink more water... Mine lasted for 4days n i was 30weeks. Im ok now
