Pap Smear Help!

Ok so I went and got a pap smear on Tuesday and AF is due this Sunday (7/31). After the pap smear I experienced light bleeding (that lasted for a few hours) and almost severe cramping (bad enough for me to call out of work) I was also light headed and felt unbalanced. Is it normal for a pap smear to make you feel like that when you get one around the time of AF? I don't remember feeling like this the last time I got one..BTW, I'm still experience cramping, just not as severe) its almost like the pap brought about my cramps, being I wasn't cramping prior to getting it. Are these symptoms normal after a pap?
