Tattoo question

I know this isn't about periods but I need some opinions. I want to get a quote tattooed on my shoulder. Told my mom about it and she said not to get it there, if I ever get married it will show and that looks tacky. Does anyone else think brides that have tattoos showing look tacky let me know?
