Red/purple bumps?

Does anyone get red hard bumps on inside of thighs, under armpits or any other area. The bump never forms a head just eventually turns purple and stays forever? I've been getting them since I was around 14 and they just have been getting so much worse? Help!!!

Are they kind of big? Sounds like a boil. My sister gets them a lot in the same places, and her doctors pretty much said there's nothing you can do about it. Although I've had one once or twice and drained it (crazy painful), but it didn't come back or spread.

Yeah, they are called boils... They are pretty painful and using iodine and alcohol over the whole area where you usually get them helps reduce the bacteria on your skin. It helps reduce how many you get. Warm compresses help open the pores so it's easier for them to drain. Be careful that you don't put the alcohol on broken or raw skin bc it'll really sting. I get them as well and it drives me CRAZY!! The doc told me to not squeeze them bc they'll spread just have to deal with them. Have you shown your doctor?
