Has anyone started finger food for your baby?

Has anyone started feeding finger food to your baby? If so, what kind? How did you know they were ready?

We just got cleared by his PT to even start stage 2 purées so this is good stuff to know. Thank you!

I've given my son big peices of toast, chunks of watermelon, pasta, puffs, crackers, cooked carrots, and broccoli. Just start putting different foods in front of them and if they're ready they'll start munching

I feed my son gerber puffs and pieces of fruit. He is still working on feeding himself little things but he does good with big things. He has 2 bottom teeth and the top 2 will be thru any day so that was how I knew to feed him bigger pieces.

Look up baby led weaning. It's the bomb. We did baby food for like 2 weeks to let him get the feel of food and since then it's been real food.

He eats whatever we eat! Same at school (where this picture was taken) He's not picky!

Mine just started eating finger foods the past few weeks. I got the teething wafers to see how she did. Then we started the puffs. Then she started refusing her baby food so I started giving her real food. So far she's had scrambled egg yolk, chopped banana, watermelon, diced carrots, green beans (cut into pieces), and peas.

My 8mo has had pancake, turkey sausage, turkey burger patty, chicken n veggie soup, Gerber Puffs, all kinds of fruit, and eats Gerber Puréed Baby food daily. He only started with his two bottom teeth like 2 weeks ago but prior to, he was already chomping down his food with his gums.
