Antidepressants

I just started Lexapro and can't really seem to find the answer to a question I have anywhere online. Since this is the only place I can ask anonymous questions I hope someone will see and give me some insight. I was advised by my doctor to take half a pill a day for one week and then one a day after that. I took one last night and did not sleep at all. It kept me awake. So I have decided to start taking it in the day time. Would it be better for me to skip a day and restart tomorrow or take one this morning and hope I can sleep tonight?
