Bisexuality?

I have had this disagreement for awhile with my hubby about bisexuality.. I believe you can't be attracted to both sexes, that your biologically wired to be attracted to one sex, but either experimenting or figuring it out that your attracted to the other sex but I don't think you can actually be biologically attracted to both.

One of our friends is constantly switching back and forth between having a bf or gf and he will be in long-term relationships and then decide it didn't work and then next relationship will be the opposite sex.

I'm just confused by it, maybe that does go against my thoughts tho, he wants a long term relationship but he wants both sexually... I just dont believe biologically he could be attracted to both.

For those who are bisexual, could you share some light if you don't mind? I'm really just looking to get input to understand my friend

Most bi people,  I believe,  don't see "gender". They just want someone compatible with them. They don't care if that person is male or female, they just want love.

Its more about the qualities that the individuals display. And it is possible to be attracted to both physically emotionally and spiritually.

I'm bisexual and it's never even crossed my mind to think that it can't be possible. The way I feel about men is the same way I feel about women. I get sexually/physically attracted to both and I've had relationships with both. It may not ever be possible to you because you are not "wired" to feel that way, but just because you aren't doesn't mean others are the same way. Haha

There are many kinds of sexuality, look it up on Google. There are also many articles that explain the differences. Its perfectly normal to be attracted to many different sexes. I myself am technically considered bisexual, or more clearly defined, poly or pan sexual, depending how far in depth you want to read about each one. Basically what It means to be bisexual, is that you don't care what sex the person is, male or female, if you have a real, mental And emotional connection to the person, you can have a relationship with them. Sex doesn't always play a factor.  I myself dated women for nearly 6 years of my life. One of which I was in a committed relationship with for over 3 years and we lived together. Now I'm married to a man and I have a child together and we're trying for baby number two. In either relationship, with a female or a male, it's all about the personal connection you have with the person.  Hope that helps you understand your friend a little bit.

I've been bisexual for 21 years now,my entire life, lol. it's entirely possible to be attracted to attractive people whether male or female, it's entirely possible to be attracted to one more than the other, and it is absolutely entirely possible to have a serious committed relationship with one person. I am married to the love of my life (a man) and could never imagine being with anyone else.

Biologically people are very complicated. Of course you can be attracted to both sexually. Sexuality is a very wide spectrum. There are people that have NO sexual attraction to anyone.

I'm attracted to both. I've dated both men and women, and slept with both. I don't see sexually as something that's 100% set in stone, least not mine anyway I'd say it's more fluid if anything. I'm currently with a male (long term and planning on marrying in the near future) but I don't consider myself straight as I'm still attracted to females, I just don't have the urge to act on it now :)

That's a very closed minded view to have. It's not like not believing in Santa Claus. This is a persons feelings that you're saying they shouldn't be able to have because we aren't "wired" that way. Open your mind and live and let live. I'm pansexual (first identified as bi) and I've never cared about someone's gender. I fell for their personality before their body. I love the human body period. Naked men and women turn me on just as much as the other. I'm married to a man but I'd be just as happy married to a woman. He just happened to be the right fit. Not because of his parts but because of who he is. Hearts over parts.

I identify as pansexual, basically meaning I don't care what is in someone's pants or what gender they identify as, as long as there is some connection. I just find people as a whole, so incredibly beautiful. Every body type is worth loving and being attracted to. Men, women, and anyone inbetween. I do think the only reason you don't "believe" being bi is real, is because you aren't wired that way. It's hard for me to wrap my head around why anyone wouldn't be pan. I mean - have you seen all these gorgeous people walking around?! I just take your word for it that there's only one gender for you. :)
