Boyfriend weight

My boyfriend just hugged me and said he's so happy I'm skinny, and I said what? He replied you'd be cute fat, but youre cuter skinny. The other day he said I looked beautiful, and then a little while later asked if I was wearing makeup. I don't remember what I said but he said I think you're so beautiful without makeup, but with the little you did you look even more beautiful. Am I being oversensitive? We've been together almost 3 years, I know how he means things, but I'm feeling super insecure in my body right now due to my weight fluctuating a little. I think the skinny comment was meant to tell me I'm thin, and not that I'm fat... Idk.
