Convertible car seat?!

I'm really leaning towards the chicco nextfit but I've looked at a couple Gracos also.. I'm between this two brands. What are anyone thoughts on either of those? Thanks!

I've ordered the BeSafe isofix base which is from birth to 4 years, and the matching seat, though will have to change it at 15 months or so. Apparently the BeSafe are some of the best around in terms of safety. At least so we were told 🙈

I really like the graco milestone.  It's super easy to fit and adjust and looks quite comfy. My bugbear about a lot of seats is how fiddly it is to adjust the straps so little ones end up with straps too loose or too tight and uncomfortable.  The milestone can be easily and quickly adjusted each time you strap the baby in so the fit is always right.

We have a Britax convertible. Not sure which model, but it's supposed to go up to 70lbs. WAY more than I think we'll need. It's rated superbly on Amazon, and we had it on the registry.

Don't make the same ftm mistake and forget to buy (or borrow) a carrier of some kind. Here I thought we were saving by skipping the infant car seat and going straight to convertible.... really could have used the extra carrier on outings when you just need to set baby down a sec.

Get one with a forward facing 5 point harness weight limit of 60 pounds or more. I had a "forever" seat and my skinny son outgrew the standard 40 lb weight limit before he even turned 4. By law he can be in a booster at age 4 but it's not considered safe for their spinal development, so I had to fork out more money for a new one! I got the Graco 65. Just look at the 5 point harness weight limit!

I was thinking about getting the safety 1st 3-in-1 car seat. It goes from rear facing all the way up to a booster seat. Their are two different types of it. One goes to 80lbs the other goes to 100lbs.

I loved the chicco .. but it was very bulky and heavy and expensive to say the least .. then my mom.bought a Graco Extend to fit for her car for my nephew and i LOVE IT .. its compact that would fit in almost any car .. can rear face all the way to 50 lbs .. and has a slide out bottom to give 5 extra inches of leg room when needed .. and was a great price!

We had a Graco for our older kids and a Chicco Nextfit Zip for our two year old. I LOVE the Nextfit, and I definitely recommend it. It sounds like a simple thing, but being able to unzip the cover to wash it, without having to remove the seat from the car is worth every extra penny. Especially if you travel a lot or eat in the car often. It's been a life saver for us. And it feels more substantial than our Graco's. I used a 20% off Buy Buy Baby coupon at BRU and saved $70. Brought the price down to $295 including tax.

We use the Grace Milestone. It's just like the Grace Forever, except it does not have the booster.

It came down to price for me. The Milestone is about $80 cheaper than the Forever. A regular booster is around $30/$35 and my daughter won't hit that stage for another 3+ years. The forever wasn't worth the price because the booster wouldn't be used for years and an $80 booster is expensive when a Graco booster is much cheaper.

(We used an infant car seat for the first 14/15months)
