When should we get pregnant?!?

So my husband and I were just married in June. We have been together for 6 years. We couldn't wait to get married and have kids. So now that we are married, how long should we wait to get pregnant? They say you should wait and be married for awhile and it would give us time to save up for a baby, but what if we've been dreaming of having kids since year 2 of us dating? I know he'll be a great father. We just don't know if it's too soon. Some advice would be great! Thanks!
