Me and my boyfriend are young. I'll be eighteen soon and he just turned twenty. We have been together for over a year and a half. We recently broke up over a dumb fight, but we still wanna be with each other. But it's only been a week and four days since then. And now all of a sudden he's talking about going to the infantry and i honestly don't want him to leave. But it seems his mind is set, and i don't think i can change it. He apparently leaves in a month. He says we can write each other and other stuff but I'm not sure. He told me he would only be gone for five months, but i know it's always longer once you're in. I don't know what to do. I love him but I'm not sure what to do at this point...in the past it was always something he wanted to do, but he didnt go because of me. So I'm not sure why he would go now....not sure if i should let go now or what?
