I got my tonsils removed Aug 1st (Monday) my Dr left it open instead of stitching so that way there won't be a chance of stitches breaking etc. Well everytime I wake up my tongue burns (pierced) and swollen can't swallow. And I feel mucus but I can't seem to spit that either or even swallow it. I am on perks and chewables ibuprofen and I have been eating scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes but I was wondering has anyone else went through this and when does this pain go away. Oh I also been eating sherbert and I bought chloraseptic spray for just in case. Would I be allowed to spray it. And IDK I'm just in so much pain I can still talk I just crunch NY words together .
