I hit my new cartilage piercing very hard?!

Question

this morning I accidentally hit my cartilage piercing very hard. now it looks swollen and red and it feels very warm to the touch.. I got it pierced about 4 days ago. sometimes i sleep on it, not directly on my ear I lift my head up a little if that makes sense. I clean it twice a day with sea salt and water. please help me did i infect my piercing?

usually I'd have the bar sticking out as the piercer out a very long bar but now it doesn't please help?!

You're going to be fine! Lol just take some pain killers and ice it like she said. What happens is the ear is very sensitive at the cartilage and when you put something like this through it, the cartilage tries to fight it off which is why it is swollen. Just be sure not to take it out anytime soon.

Ice it and take ibuprofen to get the swelling to go down.
