Baby Shoes??

Question

Im a FTM and I am due in December so of course I'm trying to make sure I have everything ready in time before my princess is here. 
One thing I haven't figured out yet is if shoes are necessary for newborns/infants? I have a ton of socks but should I buy shoes or wait until she starts to walk?? Help pls I over think everything and don't want to spend money on something I might not even use. Thanks Mommas 😊

From my personal experience they're a waste of time unless their for a special occasion like christening or something along those lines because they don't stay on their feet no matter how many times you put them on again and again. This time I opt out of getting them until the walking stage

I got so many pairs of shoes at my baby shower. Which is funny bc I am not a big shoe person nor are my family members. I guess shoes are just too cute to pass up. Anyway, I returned a bunch bc they are a waste of money and we could put it toward diapers and soaps instead. Id say maybe get one or two cute pairs for pics or special outting, otherwise skip them bc they are a waste.

I'm on baby 3 and personally I've never used them before size 3  except maybe for an outfit accessory. They seam to just annoy children in my opinion

I used booties for winter because my son was born in September and shoes on him for holiday outfits and pictures. But other that that they are waste of money. Socks are good enough :) my son started actually wearing shoes at 9 months

My baby is due late November and I'm buying him the slipper shoes because it'll be cold. Other than that he isn't getting any! Until he starts walking! Except for these because they were only a dollar and too cute to not get 😂

I don't see the point to have anything other than footie pajamas or socks covering their feet until they start walking. You can find adorable socks for a little girl. Babies grow so fast that if you were to buy shoes, you would keep buying them.

The advice here is that babies shouldn't wear shoes because they can restrict the normal development of their feet. That said, I'll be using soft stretchy booties for my little one through winter because my SIL strictly followed the advice and only put socks on her babies and they always had super cold feet when out in the winter - I don't like my feet being cold so I don't think a baby would either.

The pediatrician will tell you that is a no-no if they see your baby wearing "shoes".
