Nicu mommas.

BG
I watched a show tonight where a mom had twins in the nicu, and she was so sad to leave her babies. My daughter was born 6 weeks early and I can remember getting up and going to the nursery as much as possible, my husband and nurse actually put me on bed rest because I would not stay in bed. The day we left was so heartbreaking, we got a hotel just down the street (we live 45 mins from the hospital) just so I could get there quickly, when I wanted (which was all the time). I would look at pictures non stop but it still killed me every day I walked out of the hospital without her. (My triplet brothers and sister were born at 27 weeks, (I was 10) and spent over 3 months in the nicu, I never understood why my mom cried every time she left until I was leaving my sweet girl. My advice to any nicu mom is to take a blanket (not for your dogs or kids, but for you), pump every 3 hours, have TONS of pictures, and stay close. There is nothing anyone can say to make you feel better, so just stay close. Take lots of pictures, I love going back in my phone and seeing how much my baby has grown.
