Walking through the zoo an hour away 36 weeks?

My family wants to go to the zoo this Sunday and I'll be 36 weeks exactly. It's an hour away from my doctor, but only a few minutes away from the hospital they would've sent me to had I gone into labor too soon. So going into labor there would give me a better hospital but I wouldn't have my doctor. Baby #3 for me. I'm already 2cm 60% effaced last time they checked, 2 weeks ago.

I'm 36 weeks and was just at the zoo yesterday and it was humid and 90'! 
I went slow and stayed hydrated and was just fine. It was good to get out and walk. Even if it was tiring!

It would probably be fine but I wouldn't do it. I know I would feel like absolutely crap and the whole trip would be ruined by me. I've had a difficult pregnancy though. If you are feeling good with limited pain and you have lots of energy still then go for it.

I'm going to NYC next week on a bus 3 hrs away from home at 36 weeks & my doc said I'll be fine. Just don't stress, drink water & rest whenever possible.

Girl I was 2 cm dilated with my second when Dr told me to "start" walking so I can prepare my body for birth and dilate a bit more since I'd  be induced a week from that day.. I went for a walk that same evening and he was born that same night 🙄

I will be going to the zoo at 35 weeks, I'm hoping it'll do me good to walk. I think you'll be fine since the hospital is close

Thanks everyone for the input! I guess what I was really worried about was having my doctor and having time to drive back home or not lol. I just feel kinda bad. I've had this doctor through both of my other 2 pregnancies and now this one and he hasn't been able to deliver either lol. I just really want him to deliver this one but I mean, it is a better, more equipped hospital so I guess that's all that really really matters :) also the fact that family won't be able to visit until we're home cuz no one wants to drive an hour just to visit, except the people that will be there with us lol. We'll see I suppose.

I spent the whole day walking at the zoo a couple of weekends ago at 34 weeks with #2. It was totally fine. I did wear a support belt just to give me the best chance of being comfortable but it ended up being a really good day!

35 weeks here, we have a 3 year old and go weekly to the zoo... Sure it's hot. And I pee a million times. But we take it slow and look as long as we can at each animal, not to mention we spend a lot of time at the play area.

Ugh it's gonna be so hot and uncomfortable. My mil made us do this when I was 33 weeks. I was waddling so slow and everyone had to keep waiting for me. It was so annoying. It was about 5 hours of walking...my pelvis was so sore by the next morning!

My office is a hour drive from my hospital in traffic (which is always basically!), and my plan is to work up until I go into labor.  I'm sure you will be fine at 36 weeks!
